Leica Q2 "Ghost" by Hodinkee

Inspired by iconic song lyrics, Leica Q2 “Dawn” by Seal embodies the visual poetry of light – each camera is one of a kind.

The exquisite, Japanese woven fabric covering of the Leica Q2 “Dawn” by Seal, is crafted to ensure each of the 500 cameras in the edition are distinctly unique.

A Classic Q2

Originally released in 2019 as the second generation of Leica’s do-it-all camera, the Q2 is made in Germany and features a magnesium alloy body that houses a 47.3-megapixel full frame sensor capable of stunning high-resolution images and 4K video. That sensor is paired with a razor-sharp Summilux 28mm f1.7 lens which boasts both class-leading autofocus speeds and a dedicated macro mode for when you want to get in close and capture even more detail.  Whatever you want to photograph – big or small –, the Q2’s bright and incredibly high-resolution digital viewfinder allows ensures that you never miss a shot. So go ahead and snap that wrist shot.

Remarkably, even with its cutting-edge sensor and legendary Leica optics, the Q2 fits easily in hand and its classic shape is both dust and spray waterproof to the IP52 standard. With intuitive controls, best-in-class performance, and wifi connectivity for transferring photos to your devices, the Q2 is the synthesis of form and function for the modern everyday camera. It’s a special creation that brings the Ghost coloring and some special details to one of Leica’s most modern, versatile, and capable cameras. What you photograph is up to you, but from the daily fine details of your life to edge-of-the-world landscapes, the Q2 is the camera we’d prefer to have in hand.
